Our Values

Quality
You will be seen by a rheumatologist with extensive training in Internal Medicine and further specialist training and board certification in Rheumatology. Your rheumatologists believe in evidence-based medicine and not eminence-based medicine. So, if your doctor recommends a medication for you, it is because scientific evidence shows its benefits and not just "because we said so".
Access
We know that when you want to see a rheumatologist, you should be able to see them within a reasonable time; if we give you an appointment for three months from today, your condition could worsen in the interim. We therefore make every effort to see all new patients within a reasonable time frame. Additionally, if your physician feels you should be seen sooner, we ALWAYS try to see you within 48 hours. If it means we have to stay back in the evening to see you, we will!
Waiting Time
Your time is just as important as ours. No one wants to wait for an hour to see their physician. We respect your time and we hope you will respect ours as well. We request that you arrive on time for your appointment. If you are a new patient, we would appreciate it if you can come 15 minutes prior to your appointment time so that you can finish all paperwork and be seen on time. Our new patient form is available online (in a secure format) to save you time and energy.

Inflammatory arthritis is the name used to describe a group of diseases caused by an overactive immune system that results in inflammation. Many forms of these diseases manifest mainly with inflammation of the joints felt as joint pain and stiffness, but inflammatory arthritis can also affect other connective tissues, including the lungs, heart, eyes, skin and other organs. Importantly, when inflammation affects any part of the body it can result in damage which is irreversible.
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Psoriatic Arthritis (Psoriasis with joint pain/swelling)
  • Other Spondyloarthritis (Ankylosing Spondylitis, Reactive Arthritis, Arthritis associated with Inflammatory bowel disease)

Autoimmune Diseases  is a condition in which your immune system mistakenly attacks your body. Our bodies have an immune system, which is a complex network of special cells and organs that defends the body from germs and other foreign invaders. At the core of the immune system is the ability to tell the difference between self and nonself: what’s you and what’s foreign. A flaw can make the body unable to tell the difference between self and nonself. When this happens, the body makes autoantibodies that attack normal cells by mistake.
